Peter McLeod

Peter has spent the majority of his career in the agribusiness sector and has developed a range of skills and experience in larger operations but has also run his own business.

Peter’s experience in the agribusiness sector includes a farm appraiser role with Landcorp, agribusiness banking with Rabobank and General Manager Agribusiness with Landco.

Peter held the roles of Grower Relations Manager and South Island Commercial Manager with Montana Wines (now Pernod Ricard New Zealand) where he oversaw the management of 170 contract growers in the Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Marlborough and North Canterbury wine growing regions. ┬áHe then moved to the South Island where he had overall management responsibility for the Pernod Ricard NZ South Island owned vineyards covering 2000 ha of producing vineyards over 10 separate sites.

Most recently Peter held the role of General Manager Dairy with Craigmore Sustainables Ltd where he was instrumental in the setup of the new business unit comprising 20 standalone dairy units running 14,000 cows.

Peter is from a dairy farming background in Southland and attended Lincoln University where he graduated in 1985 majoring in Farm Management and Valuation and is a Registered Valuer.
