Our clients sharemilkers Bruce & Candice McGrath seek to recruit a motivated Assistant Manager to work alongside them on a day to day basis. To be the successful applicant you will have 2-3 seasons under your belt as a high performing herd manager or 2IC in a smaller operation, you will be looking for your next challenge on a larger scale.
The property has a 524ha milking platform, peak milking 2100 cows through a fully automated 100 bale rotary shed producing 1.0 million kilograms of milk solids. The dairy shed, and all buildings sit in the middle of the square property with irrigation via 4 large centre pivots making it a very efficient operation to run. The property has been improved to a high standard and has modern machinery that is all well maintained.
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- Have a strong focus on cows, people and grass.
- A thorough understanding of dairy farming systems.
- Strong skills in animal husbandry and grazing management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be well organized.
- Have a focus on workplace health and safety. We will provide you with:
